Is it a weed? Is it medicine? Is it both?
Join herbalist Charlotte Snipes-Wells and Sarah Keown, as we learn about herbal allies that you can grow or find under your feet to use in your home apothecary.
We’ll walk through the local natives, weeds and invasives that grow abundantly. And touch on many garden friendly plants you can easily cultivate yourself!
In this day-long in-person workshop, we’ll go over the basics of herbalism, take a deep dive into the Materia Medica – all the plant info, and finish with hands-on medicine making to fill your home apothecary. Everyone will go home with a tincture, a healing salve, and the confidence to start growing your own home apothecary!
This workshop is for those brand new to herbal medicine, those who’ve been wanting to take a deeper dive, and anyone wanting to get some hands-on experience working directly with plant medicine. Space is limited!

Meet The Herbalists:
Sarah Keown
Sarah is a community herbalist that has been working with plant medicine since she was a child and actively studying Western herbal medicine for the past ten years. She loves working with plants from seed to flower to medicine. She’s currently a farmer with a passion for tending perennial garden spaces and runs a small herbal product business, Earth Tender Botanicals. It’s through this process she’s able to connect deeply with the land and in turn her own health and well-being. She loves sharing this skill and passion with others.
Charlotte Snipes-Wells
Charlotte is a community herbalist based at Snipes Farm in Morrisville, PA. In 2018 she created a farm to apothecary company, Heart of the Moon Herbs, which creates herbal remedies and products using farm fresh herbs. Charlotte also works clinically with clients seeking herbal and lifestyle support.
